# Captivate

**Captivate.fm** is a podcast hosting and analytics platform designed to help podcasters grow their audience and monetize their content. It offers tools for distribution, detailed analytics, customizable websites, and features aimed at marketing and audience engagement.

## Authorize Connection to Captivate

### In Captivate
To authorize your Captivate account, you will need **a user ID** and **an {{glossary.API token}}**.
1. In your Captivate account, click on your profile and select **My Account**.
2. Click on **API key**.
3. Copy your **API Key** value and your **User ID**.
 
### In Dataddo
1. On the **Authorizers** page, click on [Authorize New Service](https://app.dataddo.com/service/new){target="_blank"} and select Captivate.
2. Fill in the following fields:
    1. Captivate **User ID**
    2. Captivate **API Token**
3. Rename your ***{{glossary.authorizer}}*** for easier identification and click on **Save**.
