# Freshdesk

**Freshdesk** is a customer support and helpdesk platform that helps businesses manage customer inquiries and support tickets. It provides tools for ticketing, self-service options, automation, and multichannel support to streamline customer service processes and enhance the overall support experience.

## Authorize Connection to Freshdesk

### In Freshdesk
To authorize your Freshdesk account, you will need your **subdomain** name and an **API key** (= {{glossary.API token}}.

1. In your Freshdesk account, navigate to **Profile Settings**.
2. In the sidebar on the right, click on the **View API key** button and copy the value.
 
### In Dataddo
1. On the **Authorizers** page, click on [Authorize New Service](https://app.dataddo.com/service/new){target="_blank"} and select Freshdesk.
2. Fill in the following fields:
    1. **Subdomain**: Freshdesk subdomain name.
    2. **API Token**: Freshdesk API key.
3. Rename your ***{{glossary.authorizer}}*** for easier identification and click on **Save**.
