What snapshot-keeping policy to choose to reset a broken source?

This depends on the existing snapshot settings of the source and the destination.

  • If the source has a snapshot keeping policy set to Last snapshot (and it is most probably connected to a data warehouse), then you should do choose to Replace data for the manual data load.
  • If the snapshot keeping policy is All snapshots, we recommend Appending your data.

Why is My Source Broken?

There are many reasons behind a broken source. Here are the most common ones:

No Data

If you are trying to connect or synchonize data from your source and know that you won't have any data (e.g. you synchronize your Google Ads data daily, however, on some days you don't have any ads), your source will break.

  1. Go to Sources and click on the three dots next to the broken source.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Under Basic Info, at the bottom check the box Allow Empty and Save.
    Google Analytics - allow empty

Need to Re-Authorize Service

The connection to your source will break if your login authorization is expired. In this case, please re-authorize the service.

API Issues

In some cases, the service's API may experience issues. In such situations, we kindly ask for your patience while the service works to resolve the problem. Rest assured that if the matter requires additional attention, we will keep you informed and provide you with more detailed instructions to address the issue.

Inssuficient Role Permissions

In most cases, the account you link to Dataddo will need at least Administrator permissions. If your account doesn't have the required permissions, Dataddo will be unable to establish connection.
