# Kronos

**Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG)**, formerly known as **Kronos**, is a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) software solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of HR, payroll, and workforce management tools for businesses of all sizes. It helps organizations streamline their HR processes, manage employee data, and optimize workforce productivity.

## Authorize Connection to UKG

### In UKG
To authorize your UKG account, you will need your **account credentials**, the **short name** of your company, and an **API key** (= {{glossary.API token}}).
1. In your UKG account, navigate to the **Service Account Administration** page.
2. Click on the **+ add** button to add a new user.
3. Copy the **User API Key** value.
 
### In Dataddo
1. On the **Authorizers** page, click on [Authorize New Service](https://app.dataddo.com/service/new){target="_blank"} and select Kronos.
2. Fill in the following fields:
    3. **Username**: Your UKG username.
    4. **Password**: Password to your UKG account.
    5. **Company Short Name**: Your organization's name.
    6. **API Token**: Your UKG API key.
3. Rename your ***{{glossary.authorizer}}*** for easier identification and click on **Save**.
