Basic Principles

Dataddo utilizes a volume-based pricing model based on the number of sources that are configured on the account. The number of sources multiplied by the price per connection (depending on your plan) results in the total price based on your Dataddo usage.

The total number of sources is displayed on the Dataddo app Home page / Control Panel > Account Overview and on your Account settingsSubscription.

What Is a Source?

When 3rd party services are connected to Dataddo and a dataset definition is set, it is referred to as a source. Most marketing data sources like Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, and others only require one source for each account or page. Depending on your data requirements, other services may require multiple sources of the same connector in order to provide all of the desired data pertaining to a specific account.

Pricing scheme example #1

Company "Best E-commerce Inc." is using Shopify as their e-commerce system, Google Analytics for web analytics, Google Ads and Facebook for paid user acquisition, and Mailchimp for mailing campaigns. The company is streaming orders from Shopify, web metrics from Google Analytics, and campaign metrics from Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and Mailchimp to Google Big Query.

Each requires separate sources, therefore the total number of billable sources is 5.

Pricing scheme example #2

Company "Digital Consultans Inc." is using Hubspot as their primary CRM system. In order to streamline reporting and data sharing within the company, the company decides to create a shared dashboard using Google Data Studio containing the KPIs about Deals, Contacts, and Landing pages.

Because Deals, Contacts, and Landing pages are separate entities in Hubspot, each requires a separate source. Therefore the total number of billable sources is 3.

When Is the Number of Billable Sources Set?

The total number of billable sources is set at the beginning of each billing period. If your billing period begins on the 1st of each month, the actual number of sources is calculated at the date.

Source Features

Data Sync Period

Represents the fastest period possible period when your data are automatically synchronized. More on data synchronizations.

Free Initial Historic Data Load

For the Standard plan, the historical data load is available up to 1 year, for the Business plan it is unlimited.

Multi-Account Extraction

With this feature, you can build a single template containing all required metrics and your automation schedule which will apply to all pages or accounts on the specific 3rd party service you're working with.

Multi-account extraction use case

You control one Facebook account that has admin privileges for 25 Facebook Pages. One template can be configured to automatically extract the desired dataset from all 25 accounts without setting each one up individually.

Circumvent API data limitations with this feature that automatically creates multiple interval-led queries, allowing for larger data extractions.

Multiplexing use case

Google Analytics API only allows 10,000 rows per query but your needs call for 14,000 rows. Dataddo automatically configures 2 separate calls in order to extract all of the necessary data.

Priority in Connector Roadmap

Our implementation team is constantly adding new connectors for various services. Priority in Connector Roadmap gives you the ability to suggest new connectors to be added to our roadmap. We look to our users to inspire future development and our two-week dev cycle means new connectors are added all the time!

Canceling Your Dataddo Subscription

Dataddo charges for each month using a post-billing system. If you wish to cancel your subscription, contact your account manager or notify us at cancellation one final payment will be processed for your use of Dataddo during the previous billing period. Your data is deleted from our servers. Since account deletions are permanent, please be sure about your decision before you request the cancellation of your account. If you are not sure you'd like to cancel your subscription, we can also pause your account.

Subscriptions are renewed automatically at the end of each billing cycle based on the consumption in the account (number of sources) at the end of the monthly cycle. If you unsubscribe during your current billing cycle we cannot provide a refund.

If you are not satisfied with Dataddo during your first month, we will gladly provide a full refund if you choose to cancel your account. We reserve the right to modify or terminate your Dataddo service(s) for any reason, without notice at any time.

Pricing FAQ

What are user accounts per company?

This refers to the number of users who can manage a company account within Dataddo.

What is a data source?

A data source is a connection you make to a 3rd party service in order to retrieve a specific set of metrics from that service. A data source is differentiated from a connector: connectors refer to Dataddo's framework for connecting to specific services, i.e. we have connectors for Facebook Ads and Google Analytics. It may be necessary to create multiple Data Sources to retrieve all of your necessary data from a particular service.

What is an initial historical data Load?

When you create a Data Source, the Standard and Business plans give you the option to immediately extract historical data during the initial sync. Standard allows you to load up to 1 year into the past, while Business allows unlimited historical data.

What is multi-account extraction?

Multi-account extraction allows the user to extract data from multiple accounts within the same source, such as if you manage several Instagram accounts and need to pull data from all of them. Although Standard Dataddo users are limited to 10 accounts per source, Business users can extract data from unlimited accounts.

What is multiplexing?

For large data volumes with extraction limitations, multiplexing allows Dataddo to make multiple simultaneous requests to retrieve all necessary data at once.

Why are the destinations unlimited?

With our pricing model, you only pay per data source. Once a data source is created, send your data to as many destinations as you need at no extra charge.

What does exclusion of PII data mean?

Unlike other ETL platforms, you can choose the specific type of data you want to extract. Easily unselect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) during the source creation process.

What are customizable data sets?

Because of the way some 3rd party services structure their APIs, some of our connectors have predefined data sets. On Business, you are not limited to the metrics of that particular data set, every data set in Dataddo is fully customizable to your needs so that you can change the metrics and dimensions as you see fit.
