# Recharge

**Recharge** is a subscription billing and recurring billing platform designed for e-commerce businesses. It enables businesses to set up and manage subscription services for their products, facilitating recurring payments and subscription management.

## Authorize Connection to Recharge

### In Recharge
To authorize your Recharge account, you will need **an {{glossary.API token}}**.
1. In your Recharge **Admin Portal**, navigate to the **Apps** page.
2. Click on **Create an API Token** to generate a new token and copy the value.
 
### In Dataddo
1. On the **Authorizers** page, click on [Authorize New Service](https://app.dataddo.com/service/new){target="_blank"} and select Recharge.
2. Fill in the Recharge **API Token**.
3. Rename your ***{{glossary.authorizer}}*** for easier identification and click on **Save**.
