Article summary

This month’s update brings several enhancements that simplify setup, strengthen security, and expand your data integration options. Apart from releasing new connectors and keeping existing ones up to date, we’re introducing two new features that enhance both data management and platform security:

  • Metadata unification streamlines the source setup process by consolidating metadata options into a single, intuitive step.
  • In-app key-pair generation allows you to easily and securely generate key-pairs for certificate-based or SSH-based database access.

We’ve also added Firebird as both a source and destination, which will allow teams working with legacy systems that require modern integration capabilities.

These updates are part of our ongoing mission to reduce complexity and give you greater control over your data workflows.

Connectors

New Connectors:

  • Firebird (Available as both source and destination.)
  • GetResponse
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Custom authorizer was added.)
  • TikTok Organic

New Datasets, Attributes, and Metrics:

  • AppsFlyer: SKAN Performance Report dataset added.
  • Exact Online: Inventory Item Warehouses dataset added.
  • Facebook Graph: Instagram Online Followers dataset added.
  • Falcon.io: Channel Metrics Metadata and Content Metrics Metadata datasets added.
  • Odoo: Employees dataset added.
  • Quickbooks: The following datasets were added:
    • AP Aging Detail Report
    • AR Aging Detail Report V2
    • Balance Sheets
    • Cash Flow
    • General Ledger Report
    • Profit and Loss
    • Profit and Loss Detail
    • Transaction Lines
  • Sage Accounting South Africa: The following datasets were added:
    • Sales By Item
    • Tax Invoice
  • Simplicate: Hours Types dataset added.

Connector Updates:

  • Facebook Graph: As Facebook Graph v16 has been deprecated, we've upgraded the connector to v17. No action is required from customers.
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn connectors have been updated to the newest 202504 version. For more information, see LinkedIn’s official documentation.
  • Google Search Console: Multi-account extraction is now available. Additionally, Dataddo metadata was added.
  • Wrike: The connector has been fixed and now delivers improved performance and reliability.

New Features

Metadata Unification

We've redesigned the source setup to make metadata configuration more intuitive and unified. A new Metadata step has been introduced, consolidating previously scattered options into a single, centralized location.

In this step, you can now easily choose which metadata to include with your data, such as:

  • Row Hash: Select the columns used for hash generation. This is especially useful when using the Upsert write mode, as the hash will now be automatically suggested during flow creation.
  • Dataddo Extraction Timestamp: Include a timestamp indicating when the data was extracted by Dataddo.
  • Start Date: Timestamp marking the beginning of the data range.
  • Stop Date: Timestamp marking the end of the data range.

This update simplifies the data source configuration process and ensures greater control and transparency over the metadata included with your data.

In-App Key-Pair Generation

You can now generate a public key directly in Dataddo, allowing you to create a key-pair within the app for secure access to databases via certificate-based authentication or SSH tunneling.

This enhances security by:

  • Eliminating the need to manually generate and manage keys outside the platform.
  • Ensuring keys are created in a secure environment.

Reducing the risk of key exposure during transfer or setup.

Simply navigate to the Security page, switch to the Certificates tab and click New Certificate. Here, you can easily generate a new public key.

UX/UI Enhancements

Flows Page Redesign

Icons on the Flows page have been redesigned to better reflect new functionalities and ease the navigation in the application. For example, in the screenshot below, you can see the new Full Data Re-Sync icon. On its left, you can also see the new Trigger Flow Now icon.

Bug Fixes

Connector Fixes

Exact Online:

  • Fixed a bug with date range not showing any options during source creation.

GoHighLevel:

  • Promptly fixed an issue preventing data sources from being created.

Google Ads Custom:

  • Fixed a bug causing the reauthorization of Google Ads using OAuth to fail. This was due to missing required fields.

Google Display & Video 360:

  • Fixed a bug where Country Name and Country fields were switched leading to frequent source failure.
"message_additional": "Error: Failed to save extracted data to storage: Column \"Country Name\" cannot be added to the matrix. Its length \"0\" does not match the matrix size \"541\""

  • Fixed an issue which caused the DV360 source creation to return an error message detailing all columns and their data types. This was caused by two fields with the same name.
  • Fixed duplicate Insertion Order field causing incorrect data and data types.

HubSpot:

  • Fixed a bug preventing HubSpot sources from being cloned.

OneDrive:

  • Fixed a bug preventing OneDrive authorization due to the secret key being recognized as expired.

Xero Flow:

  • Fixed a bug that caused empty rows generation, multiplying the total number of rows.

General Fixes

Data Source Union:

  • Fixed an error which let broken data sources trigger a data flow.

Full Data Re-Sync:

  • Fixed Full Data Re-Sync extraction and write sequence. Previously, some jobs happened at the same time which caused the re-sync to work improperly.

Hourly Sync:

  • Fixed a bug causing the UI to show unsuccessful hourly sync despite the flow working normally.
