Article summary

We’re excited to introduce the May release note packed with powerful updates and improvements. Our connector catalog continues to grow with new additions like Google Play, YouTube Organic, along with numerous enhancements to existing connectors for even greater flexibility and coverage.

Notably, two new connectors, Facebook Organic and Instagram Organic, are being introduced as streamlined replacements for several older connectors. Specifically:

  • Facebook Organic replaces Facebook Leads, Facebook Post, Facebook Videos, and partially Facebook Graph.
  • Instagram Organic replaces Instagram Business, Instagram Media, Instagram Story.

This month, we’ve also placed a strong focus on security, introducing in-app key-pair generation, expanded locking capabilities for key objects, and webhook notifications to keep your teams informed in real time. As always, we’re proactively monitoring and refining the platform to ensure everything runs smoother with every update.

New Features

Is Locked Feature

We’ve extended the "Is Locked" feature to include sources, destinations, flows, authorizers, and certificates giving you even more control over your data environment.

Only Admins and Owners can lock or unlock these objects, helping you:

  • Strengthen security by preventing unauthorized changes
  • Ensure configuration consistency across teams
  • Improve governance over critical data assets

This feature safeguards key components of your data pipelines and keeps your environment clean, secure, and compliant.

Certificates Generation

We’re excited to introduce in-app key-pair generation, a simple and secure way to authenticate with your destinations.
With this feature, you can now generate a private/public key pair directly within Dataddo, eliminating the need for third-party tools or manual setup.

Webhook Notifications

You can now set up webhook notifications to receive real-time alerts on Dataddo activity. This makes it easy to integrate data monitoring into tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or your own custom alerting system.

Bug Fixes

Connector Fixes

ActiveCampaign:

  • The Contact List dataset has been fixed. Previously, it attempted to extract data using an old connector, which has since been promptly updated.

AppsFlyer:

  • Fixed an issue causing previewed data and data in reports to be mismatched.

Google Big Query to HubSpot:

  • Fixed an issue where null values in the date_closed field were incorrectly displayed as 0 in HubSpot.

LinkedIn Organic:

  • Fixed an issue with the Audience Insights dataset which prevented new source creation.

Sage Intacct:

  • Fixed a bug causing date range selection during source setup to be disregarded.
  • Prepaid Expense Schedules metric has been removed as it caused an issue with source creation.

Salesforce:

  • Fixed an issue causing cloned sources to display incorrect information.

Odoo:

  • Fixed an issue where last_update field wasn’t properly recognised.
  • Fixed an issue causing custom models to not return any data.

QuickBooks:

  • Fixed a bug causing inconsistent data when the Profit and Loss Detail dataset was used by creating a new template for the report. Keep in mind that additional fields are based on account preferences.

General Fixes

Dataddo Extraction Timestamp:

  • The data type of the dataddo_extraction_timestamp field has been fixed to be date as it was erroneously saved as integer in some cases.

Preview of Extracted Number of Rows:

  • When multiple sources are included in a single flow, the total number of extracted rows is unknown. However, the preview displays only the number of rows on the first page, which can be misleading. This has been fixed to prevent any misinterpretations.
