# Stripe

**Stripe** is an online payment processing platform that provides businesses with the tools to accept payments over the internet. It offers a range of services, from payment gateway and subscription billing to fraud prevention and international expansion, making it a comprehensive solution for e-commerce and online businesses.

## Authorize Connection to Stripe
### In Stripe
To authorize your Stripe account, you will need **a secret** key.
1. In your Stripe account, navigate to the [API keys](https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/apikeys){target=`_blank`} page.
2. Click on **Create secret key** and copy the value.


### In Dataddo
1. On the **Authorizers** page, click on [Authorize New Service](https://app.dataddo.com/service/new){target="_blank"} and select Stripe.
2. Fill in the API **Secret** key.
3. Rename your ***{{glossary.authorizer}}*** for easier identification and click on **Save**.
