This article will explain how to connect your Source to a Data Flow and have your data sent to your Destination.
If you want to connect your data with a Dashboarding or BI App, such as Google Data Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, you can skip Step 1 and skip to Step 2.
Adding a Data Warehouse or Storage as Destination
First, navigate to Destinations at the top of the Dataddo app.
Then click on New destination in the top right corner.
From the list of data storages destinations, choose the destination of your preference. For this example, it will be used Google BigQuery.
Once you select your Destination, you will be requested to give Dataddo authorization to connect with your account.
After you authorize the connection to your account you will be asked to configure it. After that, you can either choose to Create Flow or Exit the page.
Choose a data source
To integrate your data with Power BI, you'll need to create a new data source or choose from one of the existing.
OPTION #1: You can click on Add to flow and you will be redirected to the Data flows window as seen in step #2 below.
OPTION #2: You can also create a flow by navigating to Data Flows, clicking on New flow, and selecting the source that you want.
Choose your destination
Now you'll need to select the destination by clicking on Add Destination. If you want to connect your data with a Dashboarding or BI App you can follow the instructions found in Option 1. If you want to connect with a Data Warehouse or Storage, follow Option 2.
OPTION #1: You can choose your Dashboarding App from the list of destinations, then name the flow.
OPTION #2: You can choose the destination you created previously which will be available in the list of destinations.
On the next page, you will have to configure the Flow. Insert the Data Flow Label, Database Table, and Snapshotting Settings.
Configuring your Connection
After you've created your Data Flow, you will be redirected to the Flow page where you can find instructions on how to Configure the Data Flow Connection.
If you selected a Dashboarding App, the system will generate the parameters to connect with. Click on the Destination Section to see them.
If you chose a Data warehouse or storage, you will see instructions to set up your table. After that, your data flow will be live.
