Our January release focuses on increasing the consistency of your data operations by standardizing metadata management across our entire connector library. These structural improvements are joined by the launch of our new AWS Glue (Apache Iceberg) destination, which was developed in collaboration with the AWS team to ensure high-performance, scalable data management for your analytical datasets.
This update also broadens your extraction capabilities with new datasets for popular connectors like TikTok Ads. Finally, we listened to your feedback and added the option to configure multi-account Google Ads extraction directly through the self-service source configuration interface.
Connectors
New Connectors:
- AwsGlue (destination)
- Dotdigital (destination)
- Notion
New Datasets, Attributes, and Metrics:
- Atlassian JIRA: The following datasets were added:
- Customers
- JQL
- Object Attributes
- Object History
- Objects
- Users in Organization
- Facebook Organic: Page Daily Insights and Page Monthly Insights datasets were added.
- Salesforce Pardot: Custom Fields V5 dataset was added. This dataset allows you to customize your schema.
- TikTok Ads: Operation Status and Secondary Status fields were added to the Ad, Ad Group, and Campaign datasets.
Connector Updates:
- Google Ads: The option to extract from all Google Ads accounts (multi-account extraction) has been added to source configuration.
- Google Analytics 4: Moved to the new mechanism - all of the larger connectors are being updated for efficiency and stability.
- Xero: Dataddo connector is now a Xero certified integration.
New Features
Enhanced Metadata Management
We are continuing our mission to standardize connector data, bringing more consistency to your workflows. While previously available for only a selection of connectors, this streamlined approach has now been rolled out across all primary integrations, with additional integrations being updated regularly.
The metadata tab allows:
- Standardized Extraction Timestamps: To keep your data uniform, the Dataddo Extraction Timestamp has been moved to the new Metadata tab during source creation.
- Future-Proofing: This tab is the new home for all upcoming metadata features, ensuring your data remains enriched and easy to audit as we scale.
New Destinations
In collaboration with the AWS team, we are excited to announce our new AWS Glue destination using the Apache Iceberg format.
By bridging flexible open-source frameworks with the native power of hyperscaler platforms, this update provides:
- High Performance: Faster query speeds and improved data reliability for large-scale analytical datasets.
- Flexibility: Seamlessly manage evolving schemas without breaking your downstream pipelines.
- Scalability: Leverage the full power of AWS native tools with the ACID compliance of Iceberg.
