In order to be SOC 2 Type II certified, Dataddo has to comply with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, LGPD).
What is LGPD?
LGDP is Brazil's first comprehensive data protection regulation. Modeled after GDPR and CCPA, LGDP establishes Brazil's standards for processing personal data, and managing data privacy.
LGDP's principles are founded on the following:

- freedom of expression, information, communication and opinion;
- inviolability of intimacy, honor and image;
- economic and technological development and innovation;
- free enterprise, free competition and consumer defense;
- human rights, free development of personality, dignity and exercise of citizenship by natural persons.
